My name is Jennifer Asfar. I am the founder and chef of The Healthy Palate. For over twelve years, I've sought out the best in locally produced foods that have been grown and raised without any hormones, antibiotics, synthetic pesticides, and fertilizers. I believe that the freshest, top quality ingredients are the best way to have a healthy palate.
I am a graduate of The Natural Gourmet Institute for Food and Health in NYC as a professional chef. I am also a certified Eating Psychology Coach and can provide private consultations working with your relationship with food. I am proficient in preparing raw foods, vegan and vegetarian dishes, as well as traditional meals.
I have won a scholarship with WCR: Women Chefs and Restauranteurs, to train with Nora Pouillon at her famous restaurants, Asia and Nora Asia. I have worked with several high profile celebrities, creating atmospheric, health conscious, dinner parties.
My passion is to help people with health conditions, as well as teach people the benefits of eating health supportive foods. I am very knowledgeable with food allergies, and I have a very good understanding of many different diets, including vegetarian, vegan, and detoxing. I have worked with clients who have had celiac, lactose intolerance, heart conditions, obesity, and people who just want to eat healthy. What I want most is to empower you to make healthy choices and to teach you that food can be tasty and healthy too!
